"See ya later" - said Ryuyasha to Sorano, and continued after Umi.

Sorano hovvered above the forest to get her bearings then headed north.

Umi led Ryuyasha deep into the forest, looked around her then slipped into a hidden clearing full of huge, delicious looking fruit and strong trees for excellent timber and, piled up to one side, a huge mound of blades.
"Not many know of this clearing," she said, "In fact we may be the only ones who know of it, i've never seen any signs of anyone else using this whilst i've been here."

Ryuyasha was surprised when he saw all that. Still, something was bothering him. "Well, that looks kinda suspicious, if you ask me... I have a feeling like this is too good to be true, you know what I mean?"

Umi shook her head.
"I've been using this clearing for years and nothing has ever seemed suspicious to me," she said, "And being a feline demon it's quite easy for me to sense when something is wrong."

"Great, I'm glad to hear that." - said Ryuyasha. His doubts disappeared. Then he looked around and picked up a fruit to eat.

Umi sat down in her usual seat and picked up the blade that lay nearby. It had something inscribed into it. She sat and stared at the inscription for a while.

Ryuyasha couldn't help it. He started to stare too.

Umi soon noticed him staring.
"this was here when I found this place," she said, "It has a message to me inscribed on it...as if someone knew it'd find this place one day."

"That sounds liek a trap, if you ask me..." - said Ryuyasha. He still felt liek something's wrong. But he was comforted by the fact that Umi had been there a lot.

"It was a message from my parents," umi said flatly, "I know they were horrible enough to abandon me in the human world but i don't think they're evil enough to set up a trap for me to fall into."

"I see" said Ryuyasha. These words relieved him more. "You know your parents the best."

"Out of us two," Umi muttered, "I'm sure there are others who know them beter than me...seing as I barely know them." She sighed a little and looked skywards. there was that feeling again...a sort of mix between hurt and anger. She wanted to get her own back but at the same time all she wanted to know was...why?
